Google Merchant Center Price Format Checker

Check amount and currency syntax before reviewing market-specific price requirements.

Practical scope and examples

Supply the currency explicitly

Enter an amount such as 19.95 and its verified ISO currency code, for example USD. You may also put 19.95 USD in the amount field and leave the separate currency field empty. Currency symbols alone do not establish a market or currency. No store setting is inferred.

Separators need care

A single comma with one or two decimal digits can be recognized as a decimal separator. A value such as 1,234 USD is ambiguous and requires manual review. Grouping separators, negative values, scientific notation and mixed currency strings are rejected. The tool never chooses between different possible monetary amounts.

Normalization is not a price change

Recognized amounts may be displayed with a decimal point and uppercase currency. More than two decimal places produce a manual-review warning; FeedDoctor does not round the amount. Always compare the value with the real product offer and selected variant.

Format is one part of eligibility

A recognized ISO code does not prove that Google supports that currency in your destination. Country rules, tax treatment, sale price dates and landing-page consistency are outside this focused check.
