Practical scope and examples
Choose the native product CSV
Use a WooCommerce core product export with Type, SKU, Regular price and Images columns. Simple, variable and variation rows are supported. Other product types, including external or bundled products, require manual preparation and are rejected clearly. The tool does not log in to WordPress, install a plugin, import data into your store or modify the source file.
Resolve parents explicitly
Variable parent rows provide descriptive context instead of becoming separate offers. Each variation must have a parent in the same file. A Parent value such as id:100 references the actual parent ID; an unprefixed value references its SKU. Missing or ambiguous references stop conversion. Variations preserve their own SKU or explicit ID, with no replacement identifier generated from a row number.
Inherit descriptions, not commercial facts
A variation can inherit the parent description, name or image when its own descriptive field is empty. Price and stock are never filled from the parent. The parent SKU or ID preserves the grouping relationship. The first image URL is mapped; additional images remain in the original download. HTML descriptions become visible text, and the conversion notes describe these differences.
Verify prices and sale schedules
Supply the store’s verified ISO currency code because native monetary amounts alone do not identify a currency. Regular price maps to price. An explicitly supplied, unscheduled Sale price can map separately; a scheduled discount is held for manual timezone and active-date review. Missing currency leaves prices unresolved. FeedDoctor does not choose the cheaper value, infer a market or invent a sale end date.
Keep stock uncertainty visible
Explicit stock states can map to in_stock, out_of_stock or backorder. Boolean stock values are used only when backorder settings are unambiguous. Ambiguous or missing stock remains empty. A backorder may still require an actual availability date. Publication status is not stock status: draft and unpublished rows are flagged for eligibility review rather than silently being treated as unavailable products.
Inspect generated links and exports
If you provide a verified store URL and the source contains an explicit product ID, a standard WordPress product link can be constructed. Check the redirect and selected variation on your store; the tool never fetches that address. The conversion preview shows source-to-Merchant mapping. Download the diagnostic report, original CSV and mapped export, which is not a WooCommerce re-import file.
Finish the manual checks
A recognized barcode or brand field is analyzed without inventing manufacturer facts. Multiple brand values require manual selection. Fix only the displayed safe formatting proposals, then recheck remaining findings against your catalog. Google approval still depends on destination, policy, website, shipping and tax requirements. The main analyzer provides complete filters and pagination; temporary jobs and files expire under the same retention policy.
